Howard Stark was a worse father than Odin. Pass it on.

I see your Odin and Howard Stark…

And raise you one Brian Banner.

^^^ Oh snap, that’s hard to beat.

Let’s just throw Harold Barton into the list here.

Jesus, the Avengers should just be called the ‘My Dad’s a douchebag’ club.

At least they had dads.

I just needed to reblog this again.

Because jfc, you don’t understand how important this scene is to me.

Or maybe you do!

Because it has Jack openly showing his affection and admiration for two people of different gender in the exact same way, making no difference at all, and neither do Rose nor the Doctor. Zilch. No hesitating, no flinching, no comic relief.

I wish it could be like this more often.

That scene up there is doing everything right, end of story. And while Jack’s sexuality is often made out to be something to smile at, it’s also shown as very natural and Nine was just cool with that, no reason not to be.

Acceptance: You’re doing it right.

I reblog this every time it comes up on my dashboard, not because it is a “rule” but because every time I see it the love and sincerity on her face hit me all over again and I think everyone deserves to see that.

And THIS is why I adore Catherine Tate. She’s loud and brash but in quieter moments… her soul comes shining through and it makes everything about her so much more beautiful.

I love this so much.

Ugh I honestly hate this. So just because it’s fanfiction, that disqualifies it from being fiction? Fanfiction writers pour their souls into their works just like ordinary fiction writers, there is no difference.

As a fanfiction author I love this.  I always feel ashamed to admit what I write because of the way fanfiction is viewed- just smut or some crazed fangirl drabble.  That’s not the point.  It’s taking the work of someone else, a screenwriter or an author and building on the world and the people they have created.  Just as much thought and care go into the planning of my characters to the point where I forget they aren’t real people and it leads to plot problems because after time you realize that no, that character would never do that.  I love writing fanfiction, and it makes me sad how some people have put such a stigma around it that I feel embarrassed for doing something that I love.

I have problems with fanfiction in that I could never personally do it. I just couldn’t take another writer’s characters and make something else with them. I’m one of those losers who only accepts canon and nothing but, and I can hardly imagine different scenes and plotlines. But do I think less of people who write fanfiction? Hell no. The amount of dedication those writers have for keeping the characters true to who they are in the shows/books/movies they come from is insane. To be able to keep it real while changing it up makes these writers pretty incredible. I give a ton of credit to fanfiction writers. Am I a fan of it? No, but I understand being a writer, and whether or not your characters are original to you doesn’t matter. If you write and publish online you are an author. Plain and simple. Now, if by “real author” you mean someone who actually makes money off writing then we have a whole other conversation that should be hashed out on another day.
